Lead Unreal Engine Developer

Job Title: Lead Developer Salary: up to £80,000 Start date: ASAP Location: Remote (with travel to Newcastle once a month) Our client is looking for a seasoned Developer who is on the hunt for their next role. The successful candidate will build and lead a world class development team who are responsible for designing, implementing and optimising simulation software. The successful candidate will be highly proficient in either Unreal Engine or Unity who always has experience working as a project leader. To be successful in this role:
- Experienced with C++ or C# coding principles and practices
- Knowledgeable on Unreal Engine 4/5 or Unity
- 5yrs+ relevant gaming industry experience or real-time simulation development
- Ability to debug and optimise code
- Production of clean, well-documented code is essential
- Maintain internal builds, using source control tools to distribute builds to the team
- Strong leadership skills (management and mentoring)
- Highly analytical and articulate
- Experience of integrating simulation/games with data architecture
- Experience with human performance data
- Gaming, simulation, aerospace or defence experience
