JOB TITLE: Skip Tracer Officer LOCATION: GRA Ikeja JOB TYPE: Fulltime Job summary As a Skip Tracer Officer the ideal candidate will play a vital role in locating individuals who have defaulted on financial obligations. His/her primary responsibility will be to employ investigative techniques to locate these individuals facilitate contact and ultimately recover outstanding debts. This role requires a keen eye for detail exceptional research skills and a commitment to ethical practices. Key responsibilities:

  • Utilize various resources and databases to gather information on debtors whereabouts including public records online databases social media platforms and other skip tracing tools.
  • Employ effective skip tracing techniques to locate debtors who have relocated changed contact information or are attempting to evade collection efforts.
  • Work closely with internal teams such as collections legal and compliance to develop strategies for locating and contacting debtors while adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintained accurate and detailed records of all skip tracing activities including findings actions taken and communication with debtors or third parties.
  • Communicate effectively with debtors thirdparty contacts and internal stakeholders to gather information negotiate payment arrangements and resolve disputes professionally and courteously.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends best practices and technological advancements in skip tracing technique to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
Qualifications and skills
  • Bachelor s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration or other related fields.
  • Proven experience in skip tracing collections investigations or a related field within the financial services industry with a minimum of 3 years experience.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret complex information and draw actionable conclusions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in utilizing skip tracing tools databases and online resources to locate individuals.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing debt collection and skip tracing activities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
