Job Description
As the Cook you are accountable for the preparation, cooking and service of food to agreed standards as well as for the overall efficient and effective management of the team to ensure a quality service is provided to the residents. This is a permanent role working shifts of Sunday to Tuesday 7am - 3:30pm and Wednesday - Thursday 9am - 5:30pm with a minimum of 48 hours and maximum of 80 hours per fortnight. Your responsibilities will include:- Prepare and cook food according to established menus and resident dietary requirements and preferences,
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards.
- Adhere to the Food Control Plan and ensure relevant checks are completed in Safe Food Pro.
- Comply with all food safety requirements and maintain high level of food hygiene at all times.
Qualifications
You will be a highly motivated and skilled Chef with excellent time management skills. To be successful you will bring:- Experience as a Cook, preferably in a similar setting such as a retirement community, healthcare facility, or restaurant.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and a strong commitment to maintain a clean and organised Kitchen.
- Certification in Safe food handling preferred.
- Mobility to move around the Kitchen and preform Various tasks.
