Our Client is looking for a Licensing Lead Nigeria to join their team and help grow Africas leading online music service focused on the mass market. with the mission is to provide music lovers with easy and legal access to a vast library of African songs while also empowering African artists to reach a wider audience.they have millions of monthly users across Africa (with Nigeria Ghana Tanzania Kenya and South Africa being main markets) Key Objective: Establish and grow value through strong relationships and frequent interactions with Nigeria s biggest artists and record labels. Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and onboard top artists and record labels in Nigeria
  • Build and maintain excellent relations with top content partners in the region
  • Stay ahead of and track music trends & missing content in the various countries.
  • Report on country activities to the Head of Licensing Lead for West Africa.
  • Create value through partnerships with musicians and record labels in Nigeria .

Requirements

Need to have:
  • Thorough understanding of music and the contemporary music scene
  • Have a good understanding of the digital music industry and a strong grasp of the music industrys past and future.
  • Be a strategic thinker and problem solver with the ability to transform goals into actionable plans
  • Have experience with strategic planning and ability to observe examine and refine systems and processes and you are familiar with different strategic planning methods like OKRs and KPIs
  • Be comfortable with decisionmaking and exercising sound judgment when confronted with many varying opinions
  • Have 3 years of experience in artist relations music management or similar fields
  • Excellent communicator
  • Experience in the sales process proposal writing and presentation.
  • You are eager to learn and grow and to help others do the same.
