Business Development Manager (Sales)Charities and Social Enterprises Part time, hybrid / UK remote possible, 30 hours p/w. As a Business Development Manager, your role will be crucial in reaching out to charities and social enterprises looking to launch creative community projects and campaigns to create a significant impact.  Your role will focus on expanding our platform’s reach and impact, onboarding diverse organisations looking to fund projects that might just change the world.  With a keen eye for measuring success, you will be responsible for monitoring results and performance. You will share regular reports, identifying insights, improvement opportunities, and new development areas. This is a target-driven, results oriented role, with scope for growth and a focus on these key areas: Outreach : proactively identifying and engaging with potential new crowdfunding partners through networking events, direct outreach and collaboration with sector bodies Partnership development : building and maintaining active relationships with charity and social enterprise leaders to facilitate their fundraising efforts on our platform Strategy and planning : developing tailored strategies for onboarding and supporting new partners, ensuring they are set up for success Performance tracking : monitoring and analysing the performance of onboarded partners and the overall success of their campaigns to provide ongoing guidance and support What skills will you have Strong sales skills : you’ll have a proven track record in a direct sales environment and have demonstrated success in business development or partnership management, ideally within the charity or social enterprise sector. You’re happy dealing with large volumes as well as a more consultative sales approach and be used to working to targets, with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to negotiate win-win outcomes. Sector knowledge : you’ll have good connections and networks within the national fundraising / charity / social enterprise sectors with an up to date awareness of the trends and developments in these areas. You’ll be on the invitation lists for their events and actively engaged with their activity. Comfortable with processes and systems : you’ll be experienced in a range of systems and know your way around a CRM. You’ll be able to analyse data, create reports and make recommendations. Entrepreneurial and a commercial thinking : you’re a confident communicator, highly motivated, empathetic and passionate about social change. Other information This role will require visiting our Cornwall or Dorset offices from time to time, but we know our crowd is based across the UK, so we are happy to discuss hybrid or remote strategies for the right person.
