An exciting opportunity has become available within a successful Meat trading company operating out of the Historical Smithfield Market in London. Taking responsibility for the management of the supply chain, from processing purchase orders, managing shipping of imports, organising customs clearance, arranging storage and organising out bound logistics to customers. This role requires flexibility to work partially remote and on-site as needed (currently 3 days work from home). Responsibilities
- Process traders purchase orders.
- Check & approve supplier shipping documentation.
- Monitor Progress of shipments; notify traders of any changes and advice cold stores of incoming shipments.
- Liaise with clearing agents, and ensure they receive all paperwork for prompt clearance.
- Receive stock intake into EPR system as soon as notified by cold stores and notify purchase ledger clerk of any amendments to purchase receipts to reflect on invoicing.
- Ensure all intake and storage cost are kept at reasonable levels by constant monitoring.
- Organize Quota licenses.
- Monitor HMRC Duty Payments and Quotas.
- Send pick notes to cold stores for sales orders to be prepared for delivery and ensure accurate rotation of stocks.
- Organise shipment of stock sold from cold store to customer sites and confirm delivered weights to Sales ledger Clerk for Invoicing.
- Weekly warehoused stock reconciliation.
- Arrange EHC & OV inspections for occasional export loads
- Will be the main point of contact for all logistics queries.
