Iron Mountain’s Entertainment Services (IMES) is dedicated to preserving and managing media treasures for future generations, and we're currently seeking a talented Data I/O (Input / Output) Technician or Data Wrangler to join our dynamic team. If you excel at handling client files across various platforms and thrive in a fast-paced production environment, we want to hear from you. In this position you will oversee the management of client files throughout media migration and preservation projects, ensuring seamless delivery across servers, drives, LTO, and the Cloud. Reporting to the Studio Manager and working closely with our Technology Team, you will serve as the go-to expert for all technical information exchange at our studio locations. Your role in our mission

  • Manage client files across various platforms such as servers, drives, LTO, and the Cloud during media migration and preservation projects.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical information exchange, working closely with the Studio Manager and IMES Technology Team.
  • Ensure meticulous file management, proficiency with file management tools, and adherence to workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain equipment, including calibration, updates, and general maintenance.
  • Facilitate digital media delivery and manage file-based conversions, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Recommend and test new hardware and software to enhance operational efficiency.
Valued skills and experience
  • Proficiency with MAC, LINUX, and PC platforms, along with familiarity with database and inventory platforms such as Excel and FileMaker.
  • Knowledge of file management tools and experience in file migration, organization, and archiving.
  • Experience with Telestream Vantage, LightSpeed, Black Magic, and Adobe Media Encoder.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control, ensuring accurate and efficient file management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams.
  • Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Capacity to work autonomously with minimal supervision, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to learning new technologies.
