Job Description

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Preparation of the annual financial statements and coordination of the statutory annual audits with the appointed auditors.
  • Manage the company's financial planning and budgeting process, including revenue projections, expense forecasts, and capital expenditure planning.
  • Manage treasury and payment processing activities.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and provide regular reports and analysis to senior management.
  • Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
  • Develop a risk management framework and a system of internal controls to identify significant risks, implement preventive measures, detect and prevent frauds, enhance overall financial integrity of the company
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and investment activities to optimize financial resources and maximize returns.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support strategic initiatives and business development efforts.
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and development opportunities to foster a high-performing culture.
  • Conduct financial risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard company assets and interests.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and best practices in finance and accounting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA). MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations, with experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial information to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Experience in the fintech industry or related field is preferred.
