THE JOB:

  • Lead the development and execution of the Group overall strategic plan.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis, competitive assessments, and industry trends to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and input for strategic decision-making.
  • Develop business plan for the Group including strategy, annual budget, Corporate KPI scorecard, strategic initiatives, etc.
  • Facilitate the Business and Strategic Planning process in ensuring that the company’s objective and goal are met within the set datelines.
  • Review strategic plan to ensure alignment to support the group operating units’ strategic initiatives. Prepare findings, projections, and recommend actions to improve organizational effectiveness and build a sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Develop investment strategies and facilitate its implementation
  • Evaluate potential investment opportunities, including property acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic partnerships.
  • Conduct financial modeling and risk analysis to support investment decision-making
  • Identify and evaluate potential growth opportunities, partnerships, and acquisitions.
  • Formulate business cases and feasibility studies to support investment decisions.
  • Explore initiatives to diversify revenue streams and expand the company’s market presence.
  • Formulate Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in line with the Group Strategic Business Plan.
  • Support the organization’s process of defining strategy and direction, merger & acquisition exercise, and making decisions on allocating the financial and human capital resources to implement the defined plan and programs.
  • Cascade the required strategic & business plan parameters to the relevant Corporate & Operations Divisions
  • Review, develop and maintain financial model processes for evaluating potential business development opportunities, internal financial analysis and cost management strategies.
  • Search, gather, compile and analyze data for evaluation of proposed future investment / project bidding / divestment.
  • Conduct data mining, analysis and feasibility studies for new projects / investments / divestment etc.
  • Monitor and synthesize information for strategy review to provide Top Management with key insights (organization performance, resources, challenges & risk) that enable decisions to improve execution of business plan
  • Assess potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Stay informed about external factors that may impact the property development industry and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to communicate and align strategic objectives throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build strategic partnerships and alliances.
  • Support the development of Strategic Dashboards
  • Undertake ad-hoc analysis, assignments and projects as and when required.
THE INCUMBENT:
  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any other related business field.
  • Professional certification in Real Estate, Accounting or Finance is an added advantage
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in strategy, corporate planning, performance management, strategy/management consulting and/or corporate finance/investment management
  • Ability to view the bigger picture and to formulate strategies to address and achieve corporate goals
  • Strong financial analysis skills, financial forecasting and financial modelling
  • Good interpersonal skill, having the ability to coordinate and move a cross-functional group and business in a unified direction and with a unified vision.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills in order to perform financial analysis for the purpose of assisting in the exploration of strategic options or to support the decision-making process.
  • A self-starter who is resourceful, dynamic, disciplined, proactive and committed, have a strong and innovative problem-solving skill and work comfortably in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas, regardless of the technical capacity of the audience (both verbally and written)
  • Strong time management abilities including the ability to juggle multiple deliverables simultaneously
