As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Remote Accountant to join our team. As a Remote Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial affairs of multiple companies, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This role requires a high level of independence, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks. Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle full sets of accounts for multiple companies with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Facilitate timely bank payments for clients and monitor cash flow.
  • Compute taxes, prepare tax returns, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements, providing insights into financial performance.
  • Report on the financial health and liquidity of client companies.
  • Prepare unaudited financial statements and present data to managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Stay informed about current legislation and best practices in finance and accounting.
  • Assist management in the decision-making process by providing comprehensive closing reports for clients.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in handling multiple company accounts, preferably in an accounting firm setting.
  • Proficiency in Xero and QuickBooks accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a remote team environment.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CA qualification preferred.
