Immunisation Coordinator – Registered Nurse Fixed-term, full-time role through June 2025

About the organisation He Waka Tapu is a Kaupapa Māori organisation who have been supporting individuals and the community for over 28 years. He Waka Tapu works to increase the health and wellbeing of whānau. Te Aranga Health is a general practice serving whaiora from our east-side community. Imbedded in He Waka Tapu, Te Aranga offers holistic care for patients, serving physical, mental, and social health needs. About the role We are seeking a registered nurse to deliver a robust immunisation program, including general practice immunisations, outreach clinics, and health education. The role will have a strong degree of autonomous planning and community coordinating but will have the support of general practice and community nurses with planned clinics. The motivation behind this role is to help boost immunisation rates across the east side and to better prepare our local community for winter. Skills and experience The role requires a registered nurse that is an authorised vaccinator and has a strong knowledge of cold chain processes. Ideal applicants will have experience in general practice or community nursing roles inclusive of vaccinating and will have a passion for promoting the importance of immunisation to our communities.
