Regional Manager - Upper North Island

SGS is recognized as the global benchmark for quality and integrity.  Based in either Auckland or Tauranga, this is a great opportunity to lead and develop the services of our Regulatory business across the Upper North island.  The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of and management experience in the regulatory compliance environment.

Job Description

• Create a culture of high performance, teamwork and customer service through effective leadership and communication, to maximise utilisation of teams.
• Effectively and efficiently manage regional teams of inspectors, technicians and engineering surveyors to meet operational requirements. 
• Multitasking and balancing multiple priorities, from scheduling, execution through to timesheets and invoicing meeting business processes.
• Take accountability for the P&L and lead the growth and efficiency of your regions Regulatory business.
• Develop and grow the business through identification of business opportunities across the Upper North Island Region.
• Maintaining key clients within our business through relationship building and business development strategies.
• Add value to the business by carrying out Inspections and identifying new opportunities.

Qualifications

• Practical experience from within the Engineering sector, preferably in a Management role.
• Ability to lead high performing teams of engineering/technical specialists and administrators.
• Must be able to multitask and communicate effectively.
• Exposure to financials i.e. finance for non-finance essential.
• Extensive industry experience with a thorough understanding of statutory and safety requirements.
• Preferably hold a Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Ideally hold the relevant CBIP
