Duties and Responsibilities: This role involves a variety of occupational therapy services provided to NDIS participants. Some regular duties include:
  • Administering OT assessments across our dynamic caseloads.
  • Working in the school, community, and home environments.
  • Provision of therapy which are tailored to NDIS participants to promote best outcomes.
  • Doing Functional Capacity Assessments / Supported Independent Living and Specialist Disability Accommodation assessments.
  • Assistive Technology Assessments for specialised equipment prescription
  • Completing progress notes/documentation
  • Manual Handling training and education
  • Pressure care education and therapy
  • Sensory assessments and sensory integration focussed interventions.
  • Opportunity to work in Paediatrics space.
  • Therapy and rehabilitation including capacity building interventions for daily living skills.
  • Falls Prevention
  • Home modifications (minor and complex home modifications)
We welcome Occupational Therapists interested in enhancing their skills in the NDIS space, as our team includes experienced leaders and supervisors ready to provide support & training in this area. Skills and Qualifications:
  • Occupational Therapy Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent as approved by AHPRA –Full Registration
  • Drivers’ license and reliable vehicle
  • Professional indemnity insurance, or willingness to obtain.
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or willingness to obtain.
  • 2023 Flu Vaccine Certificate, or willingness to obtain.
  • COVID vaccine certificate, or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote team environment.
  • Experience and skills in NDIS, prescription of assistive technology and home modifications preferred.
