About the role The Data Governance Analyst is a key role within our Data Governance team, responsible for supporting the delivery of Data Governance programs of work across a wide range of initiatives (capability/platforms/policy implementation) to provide Sportsbet with a robust and sustainable data ecosystem. You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of first-rate data outcomes by partnering with stakeholders to realise ongoing benefits of data governance in the data eco-system.

- Contribute to ongoing maturation of data governance across the business
- Providing continual support to the established Data Governance bodies such as Data Stewards, Data Owners and data working groups and stakeholders.
- Assist members of the data governance community through knowledge share, supporting individuals to understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Support the ongoing maturation of data management capabilities, influencing people, processes, and evolution of data quality.
- Working closely with the Data Projects and key stakeholders to ensure key data risks and issues are identified, well understood within the businesses and that mitigation initiatives are on track.
- Maintain relationships with stakeholders to embed the data governance practices and processes into everyday data management, enterprise risk and cybersecurity management and project delivery.
- Support the ongoing uplift of the broader data team through the knowledge transfer and coaching.
- Experience in working within Data Governance and Management frameworks
- Data Governance experience, particularly policy writing, process definition
- Experience in implementing and administering successful data governance business models at departmental or enterprise level
- Highly motivated and delivery focused.
- Demonstrated ability to interact positively and constructively with internal stakeholders and partners.
- Ability to clearly communicate with stakeholders and team members at a variety of levels, introducing new concepts and providing support and advocacy to stakeholders to facilitate change.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Desire to challenge the status quo.
- Proven ability to work with ambiguity and can facilitate change with limited certainty moving stakeholders toward an outcome
- Proven track record working in data governance programs
- Experience using governance tools
- Desired understanding of meta-data management, data quality, and data stewardship tools and platforms
- Solid understanding of DAMA BoK or similar frameworks
