We are looking for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel . In this role you will support, partner and influence our global business, providing commercial advice, covering corporate, legal, and regulatory matters from data protection and privacy to technology licensing and commercial contracting. Key Responsibilities: Operational: Provides timely and commercial advice to the business (including offshore offices and business units) in relation to a variety of corporate, legal and regulatory matters Identifying and mitigating legal risk to the business including supporting the business to implement appropriate risk mitigation frameworks or measures arising from new business or projects. Environmental, social and corporate governance Managing Stakeholder Relationships: Works collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders to create and manage cross-organisational integrated strategies Encourages the Legal Services team to build effective cross-functional relationships. We are looking for: 7+ years Post Qualified Experience (must hold a current New Zealand practising certificate) Experience in private practice (law firm) in a top tier law firm, and ideally a minimum of two years in-house or secondment experience  Strong contractual drafting skills Ability to distil complicated legal concepts Knowledge of key privacy concepts including issues arising from cross-border data flows Understanding of key intellectual property concepts including in relation to IT vendor arrangements Experience in developing compliance frameworks would be desirable but not essential Flexibility to work after hours on occasion to meet global commitments.  What we offer: Our environment is designed to allow people to thrive.
