Permanent part time, full time or casual positions are available for the successful applicant. Candidates with experience in anaesthetics are encouraged to apply. Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has been supporting the health of people living in and around Rockhampton for more than a century. Our heritage-listed Kenmore building was purchased by the Sisters of Mercy in 1915 and opened as the first Mater Hospital in Central Queensland. Today, our 136-bed facility features five operating theatres, a private emergency service and a wide range of specialised clinical services. Salary Range: $40.27 - $51.74 (RN1) per hour plus superannuation and access to generous salary packaging up to $15,900 What you’ll be doing As a Registered Nurse, you will provide patient-centred nursing care in collaboration with other health professionals and significant others to ensure safe, efficient, and effective patient management within the Day Surgery/Endoscopy Ward. Key responsibilities and duties include:- Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
- Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
- Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
- Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
- Currently AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
- Demonstrated nursing experience within a Day Surgery or perioperative setting or have transferable skills that can be developed with professional training
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principles
- Be an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or have a perioperative ANMAC occupation code for sponsorship purposes
