Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has been supporting the health of people living in and around Rockhampton for more than a century. Our heritage-listed Kenmore building was purchased by the Sisters of Mercy in 1915 and opened as the first Mater Hospital in Central Queensland. Today, our 136-bed facility features five operating theatres, a private emergency service and a wide range of specialised clinical services. Salary Range: $40.27 - $51.74 (RN1) per hour plus superannuation and access to generous salary packaging up to $15,900 What you’ll be doing As a Registered Nurse, you will provide patient-centred nursing care in collaboration with other health professionals and significant others to ensure safe, efficient, and effective patient management within the Day Surgery/Endoscopy Ward. Key responsibilities and duties include:

• Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
• Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
• Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
• Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
• Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth

• Currently AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
• Demonstrated nursing experience within a Day Surgery or perioperative setting or have transferable skills that can be developed with professional training
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principles
• Be an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or have a perioperative ANMAC occupation code for sponsorship purposes
