Cooke Howlison Isuzu – Scania is without doubt Otago’s leading truck workshop specialising with their agencies Isuzu and Scania, providing the highest quality service to their extensive client base. We are currently looking for a highly motivated and customer focused individual to join our team as a Service Advisor. The job will require the successful applicant to perform a wide variety of essential tasks ensuring we continue to function as a well oiled machine. The role will require being the first point of contact for our service customers and ensuring they are provided with an exceptional service experience. This is an exciting and rare opportunity to work in the heavy vehicle industry without a “hands on tools” requirement.  The role will require the successful applicant to:

• Ensure customer bookings are made and enquiries and complaints are handled in a helpful and courteous manner or escalated if required. 
• Complete repair orders and related documentation accurately and ensure work is authorised before commencement and when estimate of costs needs to be changed or extra work is found to be necessary.
• Keep customer informed on progress of job and any changes required.
• Explain the work performed and the charges to the customer.
• Ensure completed jobs are invoiced correctly. 
• Maximise Dealership sales of service and parts by utilising any service offers or additional services available.
• Work positively and effectively within the team and with other departments/staff.
• Ensure the manager is kept informed of any issues/complaints or conditions that are adverse to the achievement of quality or operational efficiency of the department.

The successful applicant will likely have had experience in the heavy side of the industry although any relevant automotive experience will be an advantage.We are looking someone who:

• Has sound technical knowledge preferably in the truck industry
• Has excellent computer / administration skills
