Station Cook

About the Role: In conjunction with our partner Rio Tinto, WorkPac are excited to present this unique opportunity for experienced Cook to work at Rio Tinto's iconic Pastoral Stations:

• Hamersley Station
• Rocklea Station

Collectively, these stations stretch across approximately 770,000 hectares in the heart of Western Australia's breathtaking Pilbara Region. These stations are in close proximity to Tom Price, Paraburdoo and Newman respectively, nestled either side of the beautiful Karijini National Park and 3 hour drive to the coast of Karratha.

• 7,500 head of cattle
• Breed of cattle is Droughtmaster

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Order kitchen and camp supplies - meal planning and preparations
• Providing healthy meals for approximately 10-24 staff?
• Prepare and provide breakfast, snacks, lunches and dinners according to employee and contractor numbers
• Cater to relevant allergies/dietary restrictions as needed
• Maintain and clean kitchen facilities
• Weekly stock control, include travel from remote sites to closest town to collect weekly food supplies
• Adhere to Occupational Health & Safety legislation, as well as company safety policies

Skills and Experience:

• Relevant Trade or training certificates in nutrition, food preparation, cooking or similar desirable
• Experience in a cooking environment (camp or remote experience advantageous
• Meal planning experience
• Current unrestricted drivers licence

You will be provided with a private room and ensuite and all food and board is provided.
