MASH Trust is an innovative provider of health, wellness, and disability support services in the lower North Island. MASH Trust supports thousands of individuals and families, with a dedicated team of 550 employees and volunteers. Our Organisation operates across multiple locations, Greater Wellington, Kapiti, Horowhenua, Manawatu, Whanganui and Hawkes Bay. The work we do is deeply ingrained in the guiding principles of the 'MASH Way of Working'. We support people in their own homes, within MASH Homes and in the community. The National Manager of Mental Health Residential is a critical leadership role overseeing the operational delivery of our Mental Health Residential Service. Working at a strategic level you will be managing a quality service operationally down the line. This role includes identifying and developing opportunities to expand or evolve our existing services ensuring the focus is on the needs of the people we support and their whanau. The National Manager Mental Health Residential has oversight of all MASH Trust Mental Health homes based in both Wellington and Palmerston North. Based in Palmerston North and reporting to the Executive Director of Programmes this role is full time permanent working 80 hours per fortnight. About you:
  • have knowledge and experience working within the NZ Health Sector for a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership position
  • have relevant tertiary qualifications in business management disciplines and/or relevant healthcare related qualification
  • be an excellent leader and have team management abilities, with the capability to leave, motivate and build commitment
  • have knowledge and understanding of the challenges and needs of those affected by mental health
  • be a visionary strategic thinker who is also innovative
