Care Pharmacies is looking for a full-time or part-time, reliable, adaptable relief pharmacist who is passionate about the profession and eager to make an impact in the community by going above and beyond for their patients. This is a full-time or part-time relief pharmacist position at our pharmacies located in Halifax Regional Municipality. Care Pharmacies is dedicated to looking after our staff as we do for our patients by keeping them happy and healthy at work and beyond. We take suggestions and experiences from our pharmacy team to innovate, grow and provide the best patient care. The candidate we are looking for is an effective communicator and an active team player in the dispensary. When dealing with someone's health, we need strong attention to detail and a person willing to provide excellent customer service so each of our patients leaves with a smile. Lastly, we need someone who enjoys trying new things, ready to face the next challenge. We like to use technology including automated counting machines and packaging machines to optimize pharmacy workflow. *Tasks** Collaborate with and offer support to the pharmacy manager. * Ensure that prescriptions, refill requests and blister packs from patients, prescribers or other healthcare professionals are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely using the established workflow. * Help ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products. * Protect and maintain patient privacy at all times. * Provide patients with eligible pharmacy services (i.e. medication reviews, immunization injections, minor ailment prescribing, etc.) as per patient needs, when appropriate. * Help monitor and maintain pharmacy inventory according to pharmacy needs. * Monitor for Drug Related Problems (DRP) and discussing issues with the patient/doctor and helping to come up with solutions to resolve issues. * Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures, professional standards and applicable laws and regulations. * Other duties as assigned. *Requirements** Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree. * Valid Nova Scotia College of Pharmacists license in good standing. * Flexibility in job hours, including evenings (not past 9 pm) and weekends (1 in 3 weekend rotation). * Kroll dispensing software experience is an asset. * Excellent communication and organizational skills. * Strong problem solving and analytical skills. * Ability to work productively as a member of a dynamic and fast-paced team. * Empathy for others. *Benefits** Annual license renewal fee and professional liability insurance fee paid for. * Health care plan. * RRSP matching program. * 1 in 3 weekend rotation. * Store discount. * Paid vacation and holidays. * Training for further roles you'd like to take on.
