Service Technician - Filtration CHC

We have an opportunity for an individual to join our Filtration Division. Our work in this area is expanding and we need to take on additional staff. The Company, Windsor Engineering Group Ltd are a successful engineering, filtration, energy, service, and manufacturing business. We work across the dairy, food & beverage and other large industrial sectors and have a niche market as well as connections to a wider range of products as part of the Windsor Group. In Christchurch we provide filtration products for industrial sites. Our office is located in Sockburn, Christchurch. The role is servicing our industrial clients particularly in the dairy industry as well as food manufacturers, and industrial plant. Most of these will be in the surrounding regions but some overnight travel is required during the dairy shutdowns and other peak seasonal times. Excellent customer service skills are needed to be successful in this role as well as good time management. The ideal candidate will likely have some of the following skills or experience listed below:
- You must be fit due to the varied nature of the role
- Practical working knowledge of either customer service, hands on mechanical, roofing, construction, auto/ whiteware/ electronics retail, contact centre sales or warehousing
- Great team player and attitude. Having a great attitude is something highly valued for this role, given the need to work in with a small awesome team and our clients
- Experience working in a workshop or service support on site (with Clients)
- Trade certificate (would be an advantage but workshop experience more essential)
- Construction or handyman skills
- An ability to work away from home on regular occasions is part of the job
- Proactive approach to health & safety for everyone's benefit
- Current Passport/Visa to work in NZ & NZ Drivers Licence (full - manual vehicle)
- Able to pass drug testing when requested
- Good spoken and written English
- Proficient with modern technology e.g.: the ability to use a smartphone, computer and email.
