- Previous experience in successfully motivating individuals, groups, and/or organisations to adopt health-promoting practices.
- Sound understanding of and commitment to the heart health of New Zealanders, with a focus on addressing health inequalities in high-needs communities.
- Proven experience in facilitating and delivering effective and engaging presentations to a variety of audiences.
- An understanding of the educational, socio-economic and cultural factors which influence child health.
- An ability to work effectively as part of a decentralised and geographically remote team.
- An ability to identify, analyse and solve problems on a day-to-day basis, without direct supervision.
- Previous experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) databases would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of sales and social marketing and how these can be used to enhance service delivery.
- An understanding of tikanga Māori (te reo Māori language skills would be an advantage).
- Knowledge and understanding of Pacific cultures.
- Connections and links with the local community would be advantageous.
- A current, clean full driver’s licence and a car you can use for work.
