Its laser focus on Identity sets it apart from competitive solutions and enables the company to offer the most advanced and sophisticated identity services to over 100,000 media properties, and hundreds of technology platforms and advertisers, making it the most adopted identity solution in the market.   Role Overview We’re on the lookout for a talented and drive n Senior Java Backend Engineer who also harbours a passion for JavaScript in the Browser, to bolster our engineering team. Our Java APIs handle billions of requests per day, facilitating seamless integrations between our customers, including media owners, adtech partners, and media buyers. These integrations support a wide range of essential use cases such as audience profiling, targeting, retargeting, data activation, campaign optimization, frequency capping, and measurement with attribution. As a Java Engineer you will be a central part of our small team implementing features in our Java and JavaScript APIs. This is an exciting opportunity to shape our architecture and contribute to the growth and success of our company   Key Responsibilities:

• You’ll collaborate closely with our dynamic team of Java, Data, Machine Learning, and infrastructure engineers, alongside our innovative product team, to spearhead design and implementation of both Java and JavaScript features
• Enhance the scalability of our JVM-based backend by leveraging robust technologies such as Apache Cassandra, Aerospike, OpenSearch, and Kafka. These tools empower us to seamlessly manage an order of magnitude increase in traffic volume, ensuring reliable and scalable processing capabilities
• Engage actively in code reviews, taking on dual roles as both a reviewer and a submitter. This collaborative approach ensures high-quality code, fosters knowledge sharing, and strengthens our collective expertise
• You play a pivotal role in driving automation, fine-tuning, enhancing observability, and ensuring reproducibility across our platform. Your contributions are instrumental in maintaining the platform’s excellence and reliability

• At least 3 years of work experience, preferably in a highly scalable technology environment
• An educational background in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar quantitative field experience
• Experience as a backend engineer for or data processing in Java or another language of the JVM (Groovy, Scala, Kotlin, etc)
• Real world experience with JavaScript and its APIs in the Browser, No-SQL databases (ideally Cassandra, Aerospike) and DevOps practices
• Enjoys collaborating with others remote ly and has excellent communication skills
• Loves learning about new technologies, related tools and the business models behind that to grow the product and development environment
• Comfort working in a small team while using a highly agile and iterative software development process
• A passion for exploring innovative technologies and associated tools to enhance the company’s product and development ecosystem, fostering growth
