In this Project Management position based in Palmerston North you will work on projects up to 4 million but mostly around the 200k - 500k mark. Provide diverse support within the business units and work collaboratively with the Managing Director, General Manager and Operations Manager. Participate in Health & Safety + HR Regulatory requirements of the company while managing sales enquiries, quoting and site visits. Primary Duties:
- Effectively manage assigned projects from inception to completion.
- Prepare and issue detailed job cards outlining project material and application processes.
- Place orders with product suppliers as required.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget constraints.
- Travel to site visits for project scoping, measurements, pre-start checks, and inspections.
- Review construction plans and prepare quantity schedules for pricing.
- Liaise with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Analyze and submit tender submissions when necessary.
- Submit monthly progress claims to main contractors.
- Advise clients/consultants on the cost implications of variations.
- Conduct site re-measurements and interim valuations.
- Monitor and report rework expenditure status.
- Attend pre-let and site meetings as necessary.
- Assess and administer subcontract agreements and pre-let meeting documents.
- Coordinate submission of compliance documentation.
- Assist in developing efficient processes and risk management documentation.
- Participate in weekly meetings and job coordination sessions.
- Develop a thorough understanding of product lines.
- Participate in Health & Safety and HR regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience in analyzing construction plans
- Strong Quantity surveying/pricing experience
- CostX or blue beam is a bonus
- Experience ordering materials and scheduling work.
- Capacity to understand and apply company policies and practices.
- Proficiency in coordinating workflow and activities.
- Ability to interpret high-level plan details and specifications.
