About Our Client Our is a leading multi-billion company specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of various industrial products essential across multiple sectors. Their diverse range of industrial products finds applications in various industries, including automotive, EVs and several others. They are known for their high-quality components and through their expertise, they play a significant role in supporting the infrastructure and manufacturing sectors, ensuring the efficient functioning of diverse industries. They're presently looking for a Regional Commercial Director to oversee the Sales & Marketing department across APAC. Job Description The Regional Commercial Director will play a crucial role in managing and expanding the sales and marketing division across the region, while also focusing on key accounts and spearheading growth initiatives within the automotive, electric vehicle (EV), and solar business sectors. Reporting directly to the COO, and collaborating closely with local country heads, this position will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategic sales and marketing plans to drive business growth and achieve organizational objectives. Amongst the many responsibilities some are listed below:

  • Oversee the sales and marketing division of the entire company, ensuring effective management and coordination across the region.
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to sales and marketing teams to achieve sales targets and maximize market penetration.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with major key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop customized strategies to address the unique needs and requirements of key clients.
  • Drive the company's expansion efforts within the automotive, EV, and solar business sectors.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on emerging trends.
  • Explore and evaluate potential new business streams to diversify revenue streams and enhance business sustainability.
  • Develop comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to enhance the company's market presence and increase revenue generation.
  • Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to formulate pricing strategies that are competitive yet profitable.
  • Conduct pricing analysis and market research to optimize pricing models and maximize profitability.
  • Ensure alignment and synergy among sales and marketing teams across the region. Foster a collaborative and cohesive working environment to drive collective success and achieve business objectives.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the COO on sales and marketing performance, key metrics, and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with local country heads to ensure alignment of sales and marketing activities with regional objectives.
The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Business Administration/Marketing, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in senior leadership roles within sales and marketing, with a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in a similar capacity.
  • Extensive experience in managing sales and marketing divisions across multiple regions or territories.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies.
  • Deep understanding of the automotive, EV, and solar industries, with a demonstrated ability to drive business growth within these sectors.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Ability to speak, read & write in Chinese as this role will be overseeing the China business
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data and insights to drive informed decision-making.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
