Job Description

Key Responsibilities AGILE ENABLEMENT
  • Facilitate daily stand-up meetings, iteration sizing & planning, retrospectives & demonstrations
  • Collaborate with product managers, lead engineer to plan releases & ensure backlog maintenance
  • Track teams velocity & plan accordingly
  • Ensure delivery team is practicing scrum methodology & software engineering best practices
  • Identify & remove any blockers that prevent delivery team from attaining iteration goals
  • Report schedule progress, team status & issues to senior management
AGILE COACH & ADVOCATE
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, creativity & innovation
  • Train & manage performance of journey colleagues
  • Drive career development opportunities of journey colleagues
  • Ability to coach the team to adopt new ways of working to help drive change in the banks change model
  • Ability to maintain strong leadership qualities & ensuring team tracks against key milestones
  • Ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround & quality output
  • Takes initiative in a way of picking-up opportunities in a pro-active way
  • Ability to build strong relationships in a professional cooperative way
  • Knowledgeable in technology trends & agile product development
Qualifications BSc in Computer Science or related field MBA / Business / Economics / Accounting related academic qualifications highly preferred
  • Minimum 10 years project management in tech-related field
  • Preferably Senior Executive specialised in IT / Computer - Software Engineering - Others or equivalent
  • Preferred previous work background : IT / digital company
  • Preferred previous work industry : Banks, financial services
TECHNICAL & FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
  • Expose to Agile Methodology, Scrum Framework & must be a certified Scrum Master, Experienced in Project
  • Management, Certification in PM is an advantage
  • Demonstrates good experience in people management & development, OOP & multithreading concepts, JAVA frameworks such as SPRING, Hibernate, EJB, Web Services, Swing, HTML5, JIRA
PERSONAL SKILLS (SOFT COMPETENCIES)
  • Strong team work and collaborative mindset, required in working effectively in a team/ project-based environment
  • Good stakeholder management skills and experience
  • Effective presentation skills, required in articulating analyses and putting forward proposals, recommendations, etc
  • Personality preference : Committed, perseverant, flexible to change
