We know where we are heading but celebrate and champion diversity. Our roots run deep . About the role We have an opportunity for a Building Support Officer within the Building Control Department. Reporting to the Team Leader Inspections, the Building Support Officer assesses consent applications and provides information and support to customers for building related activities. This role ensures documentation is sufficient for building consent assessment. Customers will vary from industry professionals, government agencies, building owners, home owners and Council staff. About you This position would suit a trade qualified or tertiary qualified individual within the building sector who is looking for that first step into a regulatory role. The ability to read and decipher plans and specifications is a requirement of this position. Your customer services skills and an ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers will be crucial to this role.
