Alten Road is a homely, yet spacious heritage style centre nestled in the heart of the University of Auckland’s city campus.

Alten Road provides a nurturing environment to our tamariki from 3 months old to school age for the University of Auckland community. As a centre, we are committed to using Te Whāriki and our practice is strongly influenced respectful care and relationships. The Assistant Centre Manager will lead and champion this philosophy.   • A Bachelor of Education or Diploma in Teaching Level 7 (ECE) with current Full Teacher Certification .
  • A Strong understanding of programme planning, pedagogy, and curriculum, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education.
  • Thorough knowledge of current ECE Regulations and a steadfast commitment to compliance.
  • A positive attitude, sense of humour, and mature leadership style grounded in empathy and understanding.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
