Job Purpose Support the regular performance management processes for the total company- General and Life segments business unit's expenses (Conventional and Takaful), providing sound financial analysis and enhanced business insight. Job Responsibilities
- Complete regular monitoring of expense accounts, to ensure expenses to be parked appropriately to the respective accounts.
- To monitor recharges from Region, Group and shared services.
- Prepare monthly expense accruals.
- Prepare monthly expenses and FTE reporting with insightful commentary.
- To provide variance analysis and commentary on comparisons for Group, Regional and Local regulatory reporting.
- Provide input for monthly expense forecasts, to ensure inputs from stakeholders such as HR, IT CREWS and respective cost centre owner are prudence.
- Liaise with Financial Accounting team to ensure the accuracy of monthly financial results submission.
- To analyse the financial data and able to highlight the abnormally (if any) to the line manager.
- Assist in writes-up of commentaries for monthly performance packs and relevant segment reporting level.
- Assist in providing solutions to the queries from stakeholders.
- Assist in annual planning exercise by working closely with the business functions to develop robust expense plans.
- Be initiative to bring value to the business by enhancing the monthly reporting processes and providing insightful analysis to the businesses.
- To respond to Ad-hoc expense queries.
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Law or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in relevant role.
- Experience in insurance industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in balance sheet and Income Statement knowledge.
- Good analysis and writing skill for commentary.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good sense or urgency and able to work under pressure.
- Basic knowledge in SAP.
- Excellent Excel skills.
