CFO plays a critical role in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making within the FMCG/Retail company, with a focus on effective fund and asset management to support sustainable growth and value creation and further expansion plan. Client Details Our client is a well known player in the Retail/FMCG industry and is currently seeking for talented individual who are experienced in fund management, growth and asset management background to join them. Description
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the development of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the FMCG company. Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
- Fund Management: Oversee the management of the company's funds, including cash flow management, investment strategies, and working capital optimization. Ensure adequate liquidity to support operational needs while maximizing returns on investments.
- Asset Management: Develop and implement strategies for effective management of the company's assets, including inventory, property, and equipment. Optimize asset utilization to drive efficiency and profitability.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks facing the company, including market risks, credit risks, and operational risks. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect the company's financial health.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards. Provide transparent and reliable financial information to stakeholders, including senior management, investors, and regulatory authorities.
- Capital Structure Optimization: Evaluate the company's capital structure and recommend strategies to optimize the mix of debt and equity financing. Manage relationships with lenders and investors to secure favorable financing terms.
- Cost Management: Implement cost control measures to optimize expenses and improve profitability. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements across the organization.
- Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A): Lead financial due diligence for potential M&A transactions. Evaluate strategic opportunities for expansion or divestiture and provide financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and corporate governance standards. Establish internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Leadership and Team Development: Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Develop talent and build capabilities to support the company's long-term growth objectives.
- Degree in Finance and Accounting
- Professional qualification is preferred (ACCA/MIA/CPA etc)
- Strong understanding of fund management and business expansions
- Ability to deal with stakeholders and strong business acumen
- Meticulous and good communication skills
