- The Radiology Nurse is a State Registered Nurse (SRN) who reports directly to the Radiology Manager and is responsible for patient care and services in the Department of Radiology.
- The Radiology Nurse routinely starts or checks peripheral intra-venous, assesses infusers, administers medication, monitors vital signals and suctions on patients, and helps patients with their personal needs to apply best practices and achieve optimal patient outcomes. The Radiology patient’s journey is optimized when all team members work in unison with a systematic approach.
- In charge of the Emergency Trolley in the Department of Radiology, transferring the patient to the critical care unit, being link nurse for the Department of Infection Control, collecting data, keeping results and reporting extravasation and contrast reaction results of patients.
- Ensure all services in the Department of Radiology are safe, effective, well-led, caring and responsive to patients’ needs.
- Act as an intermediary liaison between the Consultants, patients, and their relatives in providing quality patient care and services.
- Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience for state registered nurse.
- Registered with the nursing board
