Job Title: Radiology Medical Transcriptionist Job Responsibilities: - Transcribe audio recordings of radiology reports into accurate written formats with a strong emphasis on medical terminology related to radiology. - Edit and proofread transcribed reports for grammar, clarity, and accuracy of medical terminology. - Ensure all transcribed reports are compliant with Zac health policies and legal requirements, including patient confidentiality and data protection. - Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to clarify any ambiguous or unclear information in the audio recordings. - Manage and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and maintain a turnaround time as per department standards. - Utilize specialized transcription equipment and software efficiently. - Maintain a comprehensive understanding of various radiological procedures and terminology to enhance the accuracy of transcriptions. - Participate in ongoing education to stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in radiology and medical transcription. Qualifications: - Experience in medical transcription, with a strong preference for specialization in radiology. - Proficiency in medical terminology, especially in radiology. - Excellent typing speed and accuracy. - Strong command of the English language, including grammar and punctuation. - Familiarity with requirements for patient confidentiality. - Proficient in the use of transcription software and equipment. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
