Full job description

• Under the day to day general guidance & supervision of the General Manager, and within the limits of established Corporate Sales policies and procedures. Oversees and directs all aspects of the sales operations of the Hotel.
• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to direct sales, sales solicitation, sales administration, advertising and public relations.
• Produces and supervises the annual marketing plan, marketing budgets and forecasts for the hotel, adhering to the policies and procedures.
• Interacts with individuals outside the property, including, but not limited to clients, convention bureaus, local hotel associations, government tourist offices, airlines, travel agents, competitors and other members of the local community.
• Recommends to the General Manager all methods of maintaining and increasing business volume. This includes advertising, sales promotion, personal selling, publicity, community relations, special sales projects, employee training and guest relations.
• Procures new and repeat business for the Hotel by maintaining contact with travel agencies, commercial houses, private clubs and professional associations within the community and neighboring markets.

• Attends major regional functions i.e Trade Show, Marketing Association Meeting etc. to promote sales for the Hotel.
