What we are looking for

The Operations Coordinator would supervise all warehouse workers and ensure that operations daily and yearly targets are met. You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating daily operations at the warehouses and across the hubs and plan the most efficient administrative procedures.

What does the job involve

  • Developing and implementing innovative strategies to streamline all warehouse operations.
  • Collaborating with the Operations and Logistics managers to establish and execute quality control processes across our warehouses and hubs.
  • Making sure both inbound and outbound logistics operations as well as order processing all the way to the customer receiving their goods runs smoothly.
  • Analyzing order processing data to identify and resolve any order processing issues and ensuring delivery timelines are met.
  • Preparing operational and delivery reports using them to track errors and proffer solutions to them as well as forecasting the needs of the department to prevent recurring issues.
  • Regularly inspecting packed products ready for shipment as well as loaded vehicles to determine whether they meet standards.
  • Motivating all operational staff to continually achieve targets.
  • Ensure that all vendors especially logistics vendors adhere to and follow set guidelines.
  • Meeting with the finance manager on a regular basis to review the companys financial performance along with expenses.
  • Coordinating and supervising the facility Management of the warehouse to ensure that all buildings and their services meet the needs of the people that work/live in them (cleaning security and parking to make sure that the surrounding environment is a suitable condition to work).
  • Overseeing facilities services maintenance activities and tradespersons (E.g. Electricians).

Qualifications

  • 7 years work experience (at least 5 years at management/supervisory level)
  • 5 years experience in the transport/logistics sector FMCG and manufacturing industries
  • Certification in Production and Inventory Management as well as Quality Control is a plus
