Grade Level (for internal use): 07 Job Description Department overview: The evaluated bond pricing team provides independent pricing, transparency and liquidity metrics on government, supranational, agency and corporate bonds across all regions. Our mission is to provide our clients with the highest quality of market data that can be used to support multiple business processes. Position summary: Fixed Income Pricing Analyst. This position will be for someone with good understanding of fixed income instruments valuation with special focus on corporate, government bonds. The successful candidate will be expected to monitor market movements, assist with creating, automating, and updating data quality controls across all fixed income assets and become subject matter expert in designated area. Duties & accountabilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately pricing various sectors of the APAC fixed income markets using proprietary models. Responsibilities will include credit spread analyses for primary and secondary markets, maintaining existing pricing models as well as increasing sector coverage, monitoring data quality, managing client challenges and general customer support. Operational tasks such as data quality review, data delivery, customer support, and client relationships will be part of this role. The candidate will also be expected to assist with providing requirements and UATs for product enhancement projects. The pricing team is a small unit operating in a time sensitive environment. As such, all members are expected to participate in all activities necessary to keep the product competitive and moving forward. A sense of willingness to do whatever needs to be done is key to the team operating effectively. Specific Requirements:- University degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics are all suitable.
- 0-2 yrs experience in hands-on capital markets roles (e.g. Trading assistant, fixed income analyst, or a pricing analyst from another vendor).
- Knowledge of the fixed income markets, particularly the cash bond markets. Keen awareness of the credit space.
- The candidate must have a natural attraction to the market and the issuers that compose it.
- The candidate must be highly detail oriented.
- Constant communication between teammates is critical in daily model maintenance. Ability to articulate situations clearly and quickly is a key characteristic for the candidate.
- Fluency in spoken and written Chinese and/or Japanese would be considered favourably for this role.
- Good working knowledge of SQL, VBA and/or Python is also desirable to extract and analyse live data.
