There are only 8 public restrooms for every 100K Americans while other countries have 3-7x that ratio. With the rise of e-commerce and the gig economy, that means that public restroom infrastructure is either nonexistent, overwhelmed, or not known. This leaves delivery/rideshare drivers and mobile workers to find their own solutions, included peeing in bottles, pooping in bags, sneaking into construction site port-a-potties, fasting, or withholding liquids to get through their day. Some examples:

  • Amazon admits its drivers sometimes have to pee in bottles (Ars Technica)
  • Why are Uber Drivers Urinating in Cups and Disposable Bottles? (Medium)
  • Caught on camera: DoorDash driver uses Brentwood apartment lobby as toilet (ABC7)
We provide dignity and relief to those in need by providing fast access to clean restrooms nearby, starting in San Francisco. We're a true 0-to-1 venture-backed pre-product/market fit startup, doing pilots with different user segments to maximize learnings to get to product market fit. This is an opportunity to co-create company culture and experience iterating on a new product with an experienced team who have done 0 to 1 product development before. We are building the future of equitable opportunity. In line with this, we believe in a diverse and inclusive team where everyone is welcome. Location: San Fransisco $60,000 - $100,000/yr + equity Our ideal generalist is: This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted role with extensive growth potential for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and hustle. As first business hire, you’ll be on the founding team and work closely with the team and users to identify and tackle key opportunities as they arise. You’ll touch sales, marketing, operations, partnerships, finance, people, data, and product. The ideal candidate is mission-driven, capable of wearing multiple startup hats, and plans to found their own company down the road. This is the rare opportunity in which you will learn the ins and outs of running a venture-back startup from near inception to finding product-market fit and beyond. We're based in San Francisco and, given the nature of the company’s work, seeking San Francisco-based teammates only. What You Will Do
  • Wear multiple hats between strategic, tactical, and operational to carry the company into its next phase of growth. You are the Swiss army knife / secret weapon of the company
  • Establish the MVP operations that are foundational to an operations-heavy business
  • Establish processes and workflows across many different aspects of the business such as onboarding, culture, sales/partnerships, pilot user recruiting, fundraising preparation, etc.
  • Establish efficient and effective communication within the company and externally
What You Won’t Do / What Won’t Happen
  • Be expected to do external scheduling. We have assistants for that.
  • Be told exactly what to do. You’ll be given ambiguous projects and be expected to complete them effectively in whatever style / means you deem necessary.
  • Be a perpetual builder of power point decks. We dislike decks unless absolutely necessary (and sometimes, they are necessary).
  • Be doing “strategy” and “high level thinking” only. This isn’t consulting.
  • Be unaware of the company priorities. This is shared openly and actively on a daily and weekly basis to ensure we’re operating on the highest impact priorities.
Required experience
  • Atypical backgrounds appreciated and encouraged to apply
  • Typical pedigree doesn’t impress us as much as personality, attitude, and past accomplishments.
  • We like those who have taken unconventional, unstructured paths and risks.
  • We like underdogs and those who are easily underestimated.
  • Experience at a fast-growing early-stage startup is a bonus, but not required.
We like those who…
  • Strong, resilient entrepreneurial hustler mindset that doesn’t take “no” for a final answer •
  • Have built before or made something from nothing in the past. This doesn’t have to be business- or tech-related. But you must be a builder at heart.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively, quickly, and scrappily •
  • Are “lazy” and will find the quickest path with minimal effort
  • Leverage networks, tools, and people effectively
  • Has figured out how to get that thing done with minimal resources time and time again •
  • Have a sense of imagination and flex their creative muscles often outside of work Comfortable with ambiguity and a proactive mindset don’t require play-by-play direction and will shamelessly ask questions and find answers/tools without waiting A strong sense of prioritization and organizational skills to execute efficiently
  • Challenge and question what we are working on to ensure we are always working on the highest leverage action
  • Organize their own IC work based on the company priorities Strong communication skills, both written and verbal • write often, crisply, and simply
  • Are direct straight-shooters who can also read the room Desire and ability to grow / learn extremely quickly through osmosis and doing can “fly a plane” There’s learning how to fly a plane via structured courses, theoretical simulations, and steady instruction to support you. And then there’s learning to fly a plane blind with a fellow blind co-pilot while the plane is taking off and headed to a nearby mountain range. Early stage startups are the latter and your personal speed of learning has to be faster as a result. This should more excite you than scare you. |
  • Humble, kind team players that share the team burden, and appreciate and give direct feedback frequently
  • Roll up their sleeves and do the small and thankless along with the visible and strategic with equal gusto and reliability. We are all doing the same together
  • Are oriented towards community and team
