100% Kiwi-owned business looking to bring in a new Business Development Manager to add to the recent growth of offices across the business. A personable business with an excellent track record of looking after their employees, benefits include team bonuses, flexible hours, hybrid working, private healthcare, and extra annual leave over Christmas.This is a remote role that is responsible for servicing the mid to upper South Island. Whilst a Canterbury-based person is preferred, candidates based in other locations within the South Island will be considered. They are a great business to join if you’re fed up with the restraints of some of the larger corporates, as they are still owner-managed and trust their employees to perform without micromanaging. They’ve seen a lot of organic growth in the South Island and will continue to grow the team. You will be handed a trusted book of clients, however as the job title suggests, the key element of the role will be generating a pipeline of clients for the servicing brokers. Your day to day will include:
- Build strong relationships with the client portfolios and retain their business
- Develop new business opportunities
- Negotiate rates and terms with the underwriters
- Maintain an existing portfolio of commercial clients on policy changes, endorsements, and alterations
- Analyse client requirement needs and provide the best cover solution
