System Engineer

JOB OVERVIEW Plan A Technologies is looking for a Systems Engineer with strong CI/CD, QA automation and Kubernetes skills in Azure Cloud. This role would be primarily working with Development team members to fully automate CI/CD pipelines in Azure Cloud. This is an exciting job with room for significant career growth. Please note: you must have at least 5+ years of experience in database administration, with automating CI/CD pipelines, and QA automation to be considered for this role. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify and automate build, deploy, release, security and functional validation using CI/CD Pipelines.
• Partner with Devs in converting services from Monolithics to Microservices
• Partner with Devs in modularizing databases, archival/cleanup and performance improvements
• Effectively run and manage services in Kubernetes in Azure cloud
• Fully automate test cases (web, apps) using QA automation frameworks
• Detailed, clear, and consistent communication, both verbal and written, with stakeholders
• Stay on top of ever evolving technology landscape and make recommendations for process or technology upgrades
• Strong organizational, negotiation, conflict solving skills

EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Field and/or similar certification
• 5+ years of professional experience with automating CI/CD pipelines
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in QA automation
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in database administration (database modularization, cleanup/archival, migration to NoSQL)
• Expertise with running and managing microservices using Kubernetes in Azure Cloud
• Experience working with relational databases and troubleshooting database performance and latency issues.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills to identify and resolve issues in web applications; ability to analyze log files, stack traces, interpret data, run quick tests to pinpoint the root cause of problems and implement appropriate solutions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Initiative and drive to do great things

Nice to have:

• Experience with Mobile Apps and/or debugging Payment/ECommerce products
