FERROTEC MANUFACTURING MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. Quality Assurance & Control (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Supports products in the advanced materials, component and assembly solutions. Works closely with customers and internal/external suppliers on quality and continuous improvement initiatives under ISO 9001 and other management system objectives. May require moderate domestic travel and periodic Asian travel in support of these quality initiatives. Must have a results-oriented management style that is coupled with a mentoring/positive reinforcement style. Strong emphasis is placed on communication skills, both written and verbal, and organizational skills. Frequently interacts with world class companies. Duties are inclusive but not limited to:
- Develops and implements quality programs consistent with ISO 9001 and continuous improvement objectives.
- Develops and documents Potential Failure Mode Effects and Analysis (pFMEA).
- Develops and implements Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Control Plans.
- Develops and implements Statistical Process Control (SPC) Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) for applicable products.
- Develops and documents First Article Inspection Process (FAI) for products falling under the quality programs noted above.
- Monitoring quality performances and analyzing data to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Handling customer feedback and providing timely response to customers beside coordinating customer returns.
- Investigates and follows through on requests for supplier corrective action as directed by our customers.
- Initiate, investigate and follow through on internal and external 8D (CAPA).
- Able to work with and handle confidential information and intellectual property appropriately.
- Ability to perform detailed technical customer training on tool process, operation and overall function.
- Undertake other roles & responsibilities that are assigned by the company and immediate superior from time to time until full closure.
- Senior: Able to complete all of the above for difficult and unique situations and be used as a reference for others. Capable of interfacing with internal and external stakeholders in tough situations to come to acceptable resolution.
- Bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent with relevant work experience.
- 5 years’ experience in quality engineering or 8+ years’ experience for senior role.
- Significant internal and external stakeholder communications requiring an approachable and balanced communication style.
- Must be accountable with excellent critical thinking, work ethics and leadership to resolve issues within required timeline.
- Must be familiar with statistical and analysis tools and collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing in developing corrective actions.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software – Word, Excel, Power Point and Power BI.
- Must be skilled in performing internal and external audits.
- Must be skilled in writing detailed documentations.
- Must be attention to detail and able to articulate accurate information to stakeholders.
- Diligent and passionate to drive for continuous improvements.
