About Us yieldWerx is an end-to-end Semiconductor Test data analytics solutions company, A global company with headquarters in Texas, USA and offices in Pakistan, and the Philippines. yieldWerx enables semiconductor companies, Offshore Assembly & Test (OSATS) as well as Independent Device Manufacturers (IDM)’s the ability to analyze test data across the complete value chain (Design, Manufacturing, Assembly Test and end application usage. We work with the world's largest Semiconductor Foundries (TSMC, SMIC, Global Foundries etc.) as well as Independent Device Manufacturers such as Intel, Microsoft, Monolithic Power Systems to name just a few. Key Responsibilities: We are seeking a dynamic AVP – Professional Services with a strong background in SaaS environments to lead our software development and quality assurance efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing our processes, improving our release cycles, enhancing documentation practices, and implementing the most effective methodologies to elevate our product's quality and team productivity. This role is pivotal in driving the successful execution of software projects, managing distributed teams, and ensuring that our SaaS platform exceeds customer expectations in functionality and reliability. Process Optimization:
  • Working closely with development, quality assurance, scrum, and product teams in optimizing processes and achieving organizational goals.
  • Conduct a thorough analysis of existing development and QA processes. Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Implement process improvements for agile development and testing practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Establish clear standards for code documentation and ensure that these practices are adopted and consistently followed by the development team.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, sprint reports, and release notes.
  • Work closely with the QA team as suggested by QA Consultant to refine testing strategies, including automated testing, to improve software quality being suggested by yW Consultant.
  • Ensure rigorous adherence to QA practices such as test case preparation, execution, bug tracking, and continuously seeking improvements.
  • Work as a process controller to ensure processes are being followed by teams for quality delivery and build new process templates across the cluster.
Change Request Management:
  • Manage and review the Change Requests (CRs) Pipeline by collaborating with the product team and relevant managers.
  • Develop a process for managing Change Requests, ensuring timely review, assessment, and implementation.
  • Monitor the status of Change Requests, tracking progress from submission to resolution and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Facilitate effective communication on Change Request proposals, estimations, and project delivery between internal teams and clients.
  • Maintain documentation related to Change Requests, including requirements, estimates, and implementation plans.
  • Implement a structured approach to Change Request management, including risk assessment and impact analysis.
  • Provide regular updates on Change Request status and progress to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Release Management:
  • Oversee the development, QA, and deployment pipelines to ensure smooth and timely releases.
  • Implement a release management strategy with a detailed release calendar and criteria for release go/no-go decisions.
  • Coordinate with Product Owner to prioritize product backlogs and plan sprints aligned with the release schedule.
  • Supervise daily stand-up meetings, facilitate meetings, schedule meetings, demo, and decision-making processes.
  • Supervise and facilitate sprint planning meetings and retrospective meetings.
Performance Improvement and Client Satisfaction:
  • Identify areas for performance improvement based on team feedback and metrics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address client concerns and ensure satisfaction with project deliverables.
  • As a partner drives the agenda on critical analyses of project performance, forecasting, resource planning and productivity improvement and other such strategic initiatives in project management.
  • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
Team's Goal Management:
  • Help the team clarify goals and actions to achieve them.
  • Monitor team progress towards goals and provide support as needed to ensure success.
Project Implementation:
  • Lead implementation projects of varying complexity, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with client stakeholders and resolve all issues.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop distributed software development and QA teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members across different locations.
  • Organize regular training sessions on new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance team skills and knowledge.
Business Analysis and Strategy:
  • Draft key objectives, results, and strategies based on product data to make business decisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of products.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.).
  • Min 10 to 12 years of core project and product management experience.
  • Attention to Details Creative & Strategic thinking.
  • Management of stakeholders and their expectation.
  • Deep understanding and experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal.
  • Interpersonal skills and developing relationships with team members and customers.
  • Knows how to define the product roadmap.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
