Position Summary The IT Site Lead plays a crucial role in overseeing all technological operations at the site and assists with the overall global IT environment. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and proactive problem-solving abilities to ensure seamless IT operations and support for all users within the site. The IT Site Lead is responsible for both infrastructure and applications, coordinating IT projects, and serving as the primary point of contact for all IT-related matters at the site. They collaborate closely with other IT teams, manufacturing employees, and external vendors to implement and maintain IT infrastructure, systems, and services that align with business objectives and support the site's operational needs. The IT Site Lead also ensures compliance with IT policies, procedures, and security protocols while providing guidance and support to users to optimize their technology usage and productivity. Primary systems in use are Microsoft M365 environment, Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, Cornerstone HRIS, the SAP S/4 HANA platform, Inductive Automation Ignition SCADA and MES. This role will also work to implement Oliver best practices on using our application portfolio and train accordingly. Primary Responsibilities- Manage day to day operations of site level IT operations to ensure efficiency.
- Initial point of contact for those seeking technical assistance in person, phone, or email.
- Provide technical support to end users for hardware, software and network related issues.
- Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questioning.
- Diagnose and repair reported problems, which includes documentation of issue.
- Resolve technical problems related to LAN, WAN and other connectivity systems.
- Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
- Follow-up on open issues and projects to ensure they have been resolved.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to implement upgrades as required.
- Enforce IT Security policies and procedures to educate users.
- Record events and problems and their resolution in logs.
- Liaison between end user experience and Global IT team.
- Assist with internal physical moves, PC, telephone etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or comparable work experience.
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of senior support or system administration experience.
- Proficient use of Active Directory for managing users and groups.
- Advanced experience with Office 365 and end-user collaboration tools.
- Basic helpdesk support of SAP or ERP platforms used in a manufacturing environment, experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is a plus.
- Understanding of Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Model, switching and routing.
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products.
- Experience in diagnosing problems involving software and hardware.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Ability to prioritize.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with software and OS including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Server, and Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Ability to effectively plan and organize.
- Ability to work under pressure and maximize efficiency.
