Job Summary: As the Department Lead in Supplier Acquisition, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in identifying, evaluating, and onboarding suppliers who can meet our company's procurement needs. This role requires strong leadership and analytical skills, as well as the ability to establish and maintain supplier relationships. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Supplier Aquisition specialists, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Set clear performance expectations and goals for the team, and regularly review and provide feedback to ensure success.
  • Develop and implement strategies for identifying potential suppliers, both domestically and internationally.
  • Utilize various research methods, databases, and market analysis to identify qualified suppliers.
  • Lead the team in conducting due diligence on potential suppliers, assessing their capabilities, financial stability, quality standards, and ethical practices.
  • Oversee the supplier onboarding process, ensuring smooth integration and alignment with company requirements.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to facilitate supplier contracts and agreements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
  • Work closely with suppliers to negotiate terms, resolve issues, and ensure continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in supplier research and procurement in a leadership role.
  • Proven success in identifying international suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Results-oriented mindset

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
