As Digital Marketing Executive, you will be accountable and responsible for the execution of plans for marketing and strategies of all Domestic releases. You will be part of the core team responsible for the overall artist branding, revenue, P&L and artist development while coordinating and executing social media, content development, streaming marketing, digital advertising & CRM campaigns for assigned artists. What you'll do:
- Contribute actively to the marketing plans and strategies for traditional media promotion, social media and streaming, aligned with the Digital Marketing - Domestic department's goals, and also actively plans and executes marketing and promotional campaigns in collaboration with internal teams and media partners.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with artists' management to effectively promote releases as well as oversee social media campaigns and strategies to enhance artist visibility, also manages post boosting testing/optimization, and analysis for social campaigns, sharing insights with stakeholders.
- Work closely with internal and external teams to maximize artist exposure and potential across key radio channels.
- Develop and curate relevant marketing assets, crafting compelling content that resonates with target audiences and fuels artist growth, as well as implement best practices for Sony Music's domestic artists on major streaming platforms.
- Analyze historical results to optimize KPIs and incorporate onto for future strategies, monitor competition strategies and digital marketing trends to provide informed recommendations.
- Attend relevant internal meetings and provide valuable feedback to the department head, prepare, and distribute regular status reports and project recaps on time.
- Update and maintain Spotify Filtr Malaysia (Domestic) playlist on a weekly basis.
- Ground event activations and road tours.
- Any other duties assigned by the Company and/or MD, Malaysia from time to time.
- Ensure consistency in artist socials, monitoring of artist calendar/content/ideas, and help artist growing their fan base.
- Analyze trends and insights and optimize spend and performance based on those.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, multi-media, music business, digital business, mathematic, business management or any related field is preferred, not mandate.
- At least 3 years of progressive digital marketing experience at a record label or other related media companies.
- Superb written and oral communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of the music & entertainment marketplace.
- Knowledge of the music streaming landscape.
- Solid understanding / interest in lifestyle verticals and Urban culture.
- Social Media Obsessed: Demonstrated knowledge of and professional planning and executing experience with social platforms (Facebook, IG, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, Google, Line etc.).
- Must be able to accept changes readily, both in job responsibilities, as well as in the work environment, and the ability to be flexible in adapting to re-prioritized tasks.
- Extremely detail-oriented and organized.
- Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to speak in forums, meetings, and presentations.
- Experienced and skilled at acting as a liaison between the artists/artist management and the label using persuasion, empathy, communication, and trust is a plus.
- Must be highly organized and capable of developing and keeping to a project timeline.
- Prior experience with a variety of digital marketing tools.
- Creative, self-starter with exceptional follow-up skills.
- Proficiency/knowledge in CRM programs including Salesforce, Tableau etc. is a plus.
- Data analysis/consumer-behavior research skills are a plus.
