JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Study & Evaluate:
2. Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards
3. Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures and activities
4. Estimate production cost and effect of product design changes for management review, action and control
5. Record or oversee recording of information to ensure currency of engineering drawings and documentation of production problems
6. Design & Develop:
7. Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency
8. Formulate sampling procedures and designs and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data
9. Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities
10. Regulate and alter workflow schedules according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times to expedite production operations
11. Plan & Implement:
12. Plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization
13. Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost
14. Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards
15. Implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and defective or damaged parts, and assess cost and responsibility
16. Report:
17. Complete production reports, purchase orders, and material, tool, and equipment lists
18. Others:
19. Know how to improve engineering build on newly setup machines and equipment for new product development
20. Implement improvement action and corrective action on existing line
21. Ensure product quality conformance to required standard
22. Handle and resolve issues arise related to manufacturing process and engineering
23. To liaise with external suppliers to develop new machines and improve equipment capability to solve process challenge
24. Initiate, conduct, and manage projects focused on evaluating, improving and validating processes, procedure and cost reduction, and productivity. Includes periodic assessments and audits on process
25. Keeping abreast with global casting/precast industries practise and technologies, and emulate in the factory operations
