AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: AMD is seeking an innovative Sr Staff Analog Layout Design Engineer. This is a highly visible position for a valued member of the Analog Layout Design Team, working in collaboration with the circuit team for optimal planning and construction of the design. This is an opportunity to work with great people on leading edge technology that impacts the entire portfolio of products. THE PERSON: An experienced Analog Layout design engineer should be innovative, collaborative, meticulous, and curious. K EY RESPONSIBLITIES :
- Complete complex layout design of analog, digital, and mixed signal circuits.
- Own major blocks of the custom IP designs.
- Direct/advise remote and local resources.
- Ensure all supplied data from resources are reviewed and meet milestone requirements.
- Schedule and forecast critical assigned blocks, maintaining schedule.
- Work closely with Engineering staff to ensure correct requirements are achieved.
- Successfully verify layout designs against a host of leading edge physical and electrical checks and guidelines.
- Hands on leadership of layout designs for various complex macros and tiles to be integrated at the SOC level.
- Good understanding of DRC/LVS debug, EM/IR, and density concerns.
- Strong understanding of advanced technology nodes, with the ability to mentor design team in technology bring up.
- Work closely with the team and contribute to all stages of the design flow.
- Communicate clearly with various teams to ensure all requirements are met.
- Work to improve existing tools utilized by the layout design community.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field) OR Associates Degree in Engineering.
