- To participate in full software development lifecycle and provide deep technical expertise to solve business problems through technology solutions.
- To lead and drive collaboratively with business leaders to identify business problems and co-create innovative software solutions to address the identified problems.
- Define, analyze, generation possible solutions, and identify the best solution
- Articulate the software characteristics, features and structures to various key stakeholders
- Define development features and phases as well as technology requirements and solutions.
- Design, develop and delivered solutions with specifications.
- Assess system architectures that are currently in place and work collaboratively with technical specialist to develop software solutions that are high quality, secured, scalable based on the business and technical requirements/specifications.
- Ensure the identified solutions are delivered timely and budget/resources are managed effectively
- Foster collaborations across teams consisting of network, storage, compute, security
- Lead planning, designing, and delivery of Future State Architecture (FSA). FSA covers product selection of compute, fiber-channel storage arrays, enterprise backup appliances, physical and logical placement of system elements, design and implementation of ancillary tools and services such as Jenkins, Spinnaker, Terraform, Vagrant, Postgres + Corosync, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Postfix, DHCP, anycast DNS, NTP, and log forwarders among others
- Responsible for strategic planning and execution of multi-year phased services migration (JomPAY, FPX, DuitNow, MyDebit) to the FSA effectively with minimal downtime.
- Keep abreast on emerging systems and technologies, identify opportunity for adoption to drive agility and strengthen foundation to execute business strategy speedily
- Build and enhance systems monitoring capability: capacity, response and service degradation.
- Maintain an accurate record reflecting the current and historical systems settings including decision-making rationale for configuration.
- Inculcate the best practices, operational discipline and guidelines across the systems team.

- Able to help others communicate; for example, asking probing questions to clarify what others (who are less effective at communicating) meant or providing additional context without being asked
- Champion the cause of right application design and framework that supports high performance to facilitate high transaction volume real-time payment.
- Drive application re-engineering effort remove legacy constraints and bottlenecks to achieve projected business growth.
- Takes the time to understand the business objective of a story and uses the information to guide the amount of effort that should be dedicated to the story.
- Ask probing questions that uncovers the user goal behind some features and ensure that the work being done is proportionate to the benefit.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
- Experience in the IT banking and Telecommunications sector would be an added advantage.
- 9 years of relevant work experience, preferably a self-starter working in a high-pressured System Integrator Environment
- Relevant work experience in the Financial Services and/or Technology sectors would be an added advantage.
- Effective communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Supreme attention to detail and analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, self-driven and quality results oriented.
- Strategic in planning and organizing, effective interpersonal and project management skill.
