Networks & Systems Administration (Information & Communication Technology) Responsible for the coordination, monitoring, reporting and execution on the Technical Operation and Maintenance cycle converning central system including OCC/DCC-ICC interface and supporting stations on the Rail Operational Technology (OT) Systems, equipment and connectivity including associated hardware, software and subsystem. Company Incorporated in 1998 by the Ministry of Finance, the Government–Owned Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) was set up to facilitate, undertake and expedite public infrastructure projects. It is fully operational in 2002. Prasarana manages and operates 4 rail networks in Klang Valley and 5 fleets of bus services in Klang Valley, Penang, Kuantan, Kamunting & Manjung. Provides supporting facilities, including covered walkaways and overhead bridges. Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd was officially established after a corporate restructuring exercise in 2013, Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd commenced operations in 2002 when Prasarana officially took over the assets and operations of the Star-LRT and Putra-LRT and renamed both lines to Ampang Line and Kelana Jaya Line respectively. It then acquired the KL Monorail in 2007 and became the operator for MRT Kajang Line in 2016, and the latest MRT Putrajaya Line is targeted to start operations to the public in early 2023. With various initiatives undertaken to promote the usage of public transport, ridership for Rapid Rail’s network has continuously grown. As of May 2019, it manages more than 700,000 commuters daily.
