Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Able to work beyond normal working hours when necessary.
2. Implement effective maintenance procedures to minimize production down time caused by breakdown of machineries.
3. Troubleshoot and diagnose problems and develop and execute maintenance plans to minimise downtime and disruptions.
4. Analyse data to identify trends, diagnose problems and develop solutions to improve equipment reliability and performance.
5. Implement effective preventive maintenance plan to ensure all facilities and equipment operate efficiently and effectively.
6. Initiate necessary modification and improvement to enhance machine efficiency.
7. Conduct studies and carry out analysis to ensure capacity of mechanical installations meet the needs of production.
8. Initiate immediate actions to recommend for improvement and upgrading when and where necessary.
9. Ensure all work requests are sufficiently and promptly fulfilled.
10. Assist in developing system and procedures to continuously enhance energy efficiency.
11. Conduct constant review on spare parts consumption and initiate necessary purchase of spare parts.
12. Analyse spare parts consumption and maintenance cost and initiate effective actions to reduce consumption and maintenance cost.
13. Monitor to ensure operation of utility supply and facilities comply with provision of relevant laws, by-laws, rules and regulations.
14. Plan constantly for proper upkeep and maintenance of building facilities.
15. Ensure continuous development and upgrading of subordinates’ skills.
16. Involve actively in cost savings or improvement projects.
17. To advise and guide maintenance supervisor in the implementation of effective maintenance programs.
18. Provide proper guidance to subordinates to troubleshoot and overcome machine problems speedily and effectively.
19. To prepare monthly reports, capital expenditures and evaluate service providers.
