We are seeking for highly motivated and independent professionals to join our Financial Advisory team supporting Mazars in Singapore. The Associate/Senior will be a vital member for execution of deliverables in financial advisory projects. He/She will be given the opportunity to work on Valuation, Transactions, Restructuring & Insolvency and Forensics & Investigations assignments. This position will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Roles & Responsibilities Valuations
- Perform market and industry research.
- Develop financial models to value private companies.
- Identify and value intangible assets for financial reporting, tax or M&A purposes.
- Analyse if the financial projections are reasonable by comparing against appropriate benchmarks.
- Draft valuation reports in accordance with International Valuation Standards.
- Extract and analyse financial data to identify operational and key business trends, key risks, and to assess of quality of earnings and working capital impacting valuation of a target.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to assess the impact on the transaction parameters.
- Coordinate and attend meetings (remotely) with clients, target’s representatives and other advisors.
- Assist in preparing reports, in particular for due diligence or post-transaction assignments (completion/earn-out).
- Analyse historical financial performance and perform cash flows analyses.
- Conduct financial analyses, financial statements review and assess business performance.
- Gather relevant data and information to develop financial restructuring plans.
- Prepare documents for sales of distressed assets.
- Research and gather information on legal entity structure of clients.
- Assist in drafting correspondence to clients with creditors during restructuring or insolvency.
- Support team with judicial management, receiverships and liquidations
- Gather relevant data and information to develop a proposal and/or scheme of arrangement.
- Maintain internal and external relationships to drive desired outcomes.
- Degree in Accountancy, Business or Finance.
- Minimum 1 year of experience, preferably in Financial due diligence, Valuation, Corporate insolvency/ restructuring or Audit.
- Basic understanding of relevant financial reporting standards.
- Someone interested in finance / pursuing towards a CFA, CVA is preferred.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Able to work independently as well as a team player.
- Strong analytical, technical and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent presentation and report writing skills.
- Familiar with the use of research/technical tools such as S&P CIQ, Mergermarket and Refinitiv.
