Job Title: Chief of Staff/Technical Adviser to the CEO Reporting Line: CEO Location: Lagos Job Type: Fulltime Job Summary As the Chief of Staff the ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in providing strategic and operational support to the CEO. You will serve as a trusted advisor thought partner and liaison between the CEO and various internal and external stakeholders. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of functions aimed at enhancing organizational efficiency fostering collaboration and driving the achievement of the organization s mission and objectives. Key Responsibilities Direct Support to the CEO:
- Provide support in overall coordination and delivery of key business priorities defining metrics and tracking progress.
- Provide support in setting organizational structure processes and policies.
- Strategically manage the CEO s time: Coordinate external opportunities including longterm travel and meeting plans and ensure each trip/engagement is maximized in line with business priorities.
- Prepare for and follow up on key meetings: by equipping the CEO with the information necessary to be productive and engaged.
- Manage internal and external communications: draft company newsletters reports pitch decks speeches and presentations.
- Coordinate annual strategic planning process for the company.
- Collaborate with the CEO and senior leadership to develop and execute strategic plans initiatives and organizational priorities aligned with the organization s mission vision and values.
- Help determine key performance indicators set up relevant dashboards and provide detailed company operations analysis.
- Provide handson support to transform ideas into reality and monitor their progress.
- Identify areas of improvement across the organization and make actionable recommendations.
- Coordinate agenda for CEO approval before team and board meetings.
- Organize company retreats strategy sessions and other special events.
- Oversee organizationwide projects or initiatives; bring together important stakeholders and help drive decisions.
- Research perform benchmarking analyze data and make recommendations.
- Propose the creation of new systems and processes to streamline operations.
- Complete special projects and initiatives with skillful oversight and support.
- Lead and support special projects initiatives and crossfunctional teams on behalf of the CEO ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timely delivery of results.
- Monitor project milestones budgets and performance metrics providing regular updates and recommendations to the CEO and leadership team.
- Assist in the development review and implementation of organizational policies procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with legal regulatory and ethical standards.
- Conduct research analysis and benchmarking to support policy formulation and decisionmaking process
- Manage the hiring process for the organization; Work with the CEO and team to draft job descriptions outline interview processes and screen candidates.
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Public Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in any of the following areas: Operations Consulting Business Management or as Technical Adviser or Chief of Staff.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership or executive support role.
- Proven track record of strategic thinking and problemsolving
- Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills
